4th of July Traditions!!

We have a few TRADITIONS that we totally LOVE doing on the 4th of JULY!!

As this holiday gets closer the kids always say - "We're gonna make Homemade Root beer & Ice Cream as we watch the Fireworks, aren't we?". And, we always say - "Of Course!!".

Here's a glimpse of our HOMEMADE ROOT BEER brewing!!

I told the kids that this smell is the scent of the 4th of July! I also love the smell of lit FIREWORKS! I think if someone would create a candle that smelled like that off and on, they could make some money!! LoVe It :)

And, here is what our HOMEMADE ICE CREAM looks like before the kids and I get to 'Shakin' It!!'.

I got this recipe out of the FAMILY FUN magazine many years ago, and if we ever misplace it we just go to their website and print another copy off! Have I ever mentioned how much I love the FAMILY FUN magazine?!!

(There are sooooo many ideas for FAMILY FUN inside it! Click on the first two links and you'll find the recipe for the ice cream.)

It's also a TRADITION that we girlie's all enjoy the show as my good-lookin' hubby lights our FIREWORKS!!

The girls love to dance around and wave their SPARKLERS too!

Then, we all settle in to watch our awesome city's FIREWORK DISPLAY!!!

We are so Grateful to live in AMERICA and for all those who have sacrificed for us to live in this great land!

Oh, I've never had homemade root beer, but a root beer float is just about my favorite thing in the world! I can't think of a better way to ejoy fireworks!

Oh I love homemade rootbear. My father in law makes it. But I've never made my own.

Thank you so much for the award. And for always leaving such nice comments.

Also, here is the link for the bouncy balls we made:
